Hyvin tuttu paikka jo lapsyydesta jolloin tie oli soratie, nyttemmin tulossa/tullut asfaltti.
Entinen merivartioston toimipiste ja 2000-luvulla lopettanut toimintansa.
Ruokapuoli maukas ja muutoin paikka melko poikkeava yleisestä tarjonnasta positiivisesti.
Tulevaisuus ja aukiolot hieman hakusessa, to7vottavasti jatkuvat.

Fantastic place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle but still experience first class accomodation. Personal, caring service. Great dinner and breakfast. One of the best saunas I have been to. Possibility to swim in the ocean if you are not afraid of cold water. Rooms are comfortably and shower great. Bathrobes and slippers in the room. A good modern conference room on the top floor with view in all directions. This is a former coastguard station that has been remodelled into a top class small hotel. Do call in advance!! And dont miss this if you visit this area of Finland.

We stayed a couple of nights in Kummelgrund's best suite during summer holiday season. Unfortunately the suites are not that fancy as the website's photographs have you expect. ||||Our suite was just a nice hotel room with a separate bedroom and a living room. Both rooms were really clean and functional, but the decor was just not what was expected. The design and atmosphere of the hotel rooms is quite standard in the end. There are some nice details and quality equipment, but the rooms are not very comfortable - meaning that they don't really invite you to spend time in the rooms. There are no paintings on the walls nor is there other decorations in the rooms. The hotel, restaurant and the location are excellent, but the suites are definitely overpriced (suite was 200 euros per night).||||The hotel seems to be most suitable for extended business meetings and "company getaways". There are good facilities for having meetings (the top floor of the main building) and an excellent restaurant. Also all the rooms have separate beds so they are more suitable for business groups than couples. Outside of summer season the hotel and restaurant are open for public only on request.||||However the restaurant is excellent and staff was very friendly. Overall our visit was very positive and not least because the place is so unique (former coast guard facilities). This place could easily become a very unique hotel experience if a little bit more attention would be given to details and making the place more comfortable. Currently the place seems to be more targeted to business groups than tourists, but the surroundings and facilities would enable this place to become a very interesting boutique hotel experience also.||||The location is pretty extreme since the hotel is so isolated, but that also offers a lot of piece and quiet to enjoy the sea and the nature. Although the lack of nature paths or even walking (or running) possibilities nearby was a bit of a surprise. You pretty much need to take the car every time you want to "do something" other than just enjoy the scenes.||||The restaurant can be highly recommended to even fine-dining tourists, but currently the hotel is ideal only for business groups and maybe families. For couples Kummelgrund can also be an interesting visit, but to be honest there are better getaway hotels in the area than this.

The place is peacefull and very friendly. It is situated on the sea and in the middle of the beautiful nature. The rooms are very nice, all the details have been thought through. Especially the sauna and hot tub (palju) is very nice. Very suitable for a group of 10-20 people.I recommend this place.
