Majatalo Kettis is located just by the northern entrance of Seitseminen National Park. It features visitor center with restaurant and additional building with 6 bedrooms, sauna & kitchen area. The main building with visitor center and restaurant is style wise somewhere form 80'es and not necessarily anything beautiful to see. The restaurant is run by a local couple and the service is very smooth, flexible and friendly. The same couple also runs the inn. We arrived around 4.15 pm when the restaurant had just closed, but the owners waited us to prepare a dinner (pepper steak & fries). Good to note that they have no alcohol license here. The rooms located in the building next to main building are very basic featuring basically just beds. Toilet and shower are found by the corridor and shared by other visitors. However, the room was clean, warm and spacious. We had ordered a sauna and that was also located in the same building with our room. Also a shared kitchen room is found here with basic kitchen equipment for self catering without forgetting a TV. Since we were the only guests staying over that night, the owner came just for us the next morning to prepare the breakfast. In the afternoon we also had a chance to take well needed showers after 18 km hiking. The building is owned by Finnish Forrest Authority, and hopefully they would invest in upgrading that. Meanwhile, Kettis offers good price value and very friendly service for those in need of very basic accommodation.
